Researchers with Community Medical Centers must complete the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training before beginning their research study.

CITI Training Instructions

• Visit www.citiprogram.org

• Under Select Your Organization Affiliation select University of California, San Francisco

• Select I AGREE to the Terms of Service for accessing CITI Program materials

• Enter first and last name and email address

• Create a username and password

• When prompted, Are you interested in the option of receiving Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit for completed CITI Program courses?" Select No

• Select applicable Role in human subjects research

• Select Human Subjects Protection Training

  • "Good Clinical Practice" and "Responsible Conduct of Research" are optional courses. If you decide to take these, please first complete the “Human Subjects Protection Training”

• Complete the required modules

• Make sure you also complete two of the elective modules to receive the certification

• Email the completed certificate to IRB@communitymedical.org
