…what does that have to do with healthcare you say? Well, here ya go:

As teams win and progress on to the finals, the more challenging a victory becomes. As talented and successful teams narrow the field, the ones left playing are required to be the best of the best. It parallels the environment to providing health care - where the payers are looking at “Value-Based Purchasing” that demands the most outstanding performance and outcomes, ie., to be the “best of the best.” As insurance companies (including the Government, with Medicare and Medicaid) critique how health care is delivered to their constituents, it’s always been Community Medical Centers' Mission, Vision, and Value to do it best…no matter what the policy, regulation, or statute may be.

Having the “brackets” narrowed certainly has aided Community in a more laser precision way to focus priorities. But at the end of the day, there’s a reason we've “made it to the finals”…because of the great staff, physicians, and leaders who are committed to win day in and day out, no matter what challenges come our way.

I hope you all enjoy the NCAA 2017 Tournament that culminates on April 3rd. One thing for sure: there will be notable jumps, runs, expectations, predictions, energy, “bracket busters,” “Cinderellas,” rankings, and upsets,…sound familiar? Kinda like what we do day in and day out…keep up the “winning” performances.
