“No drive has more positive ripple effects than the desire to be of service” — MacKenzie Scott, author and philanthropist
In 2022, volunteer group Founders Club was formed. This collection of community-driven women banded together with a mission to fundraise in support of Community Health System. And after less than a year, Founders Club has already raised an incredible $400,000.
After learning more about Community, Founders Club chose to support neuroscience care and the campaign to build the Bob Smittcamp Family Neuroscience Institute. Community already cares for the vast majority of Central Valley patients with neurological issues, but patients need access to more specialty care. No one should have to leave the area for treatment, and that’s why Community is building the Bob Smittcamp Family Neuroscience Institute: to give patients all the care they deserve, right here at home.
The cause is personal for many members, including those who have had loved ones impacted by stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s, concussions and other head injuries.
This group has hit the ground running and is already planning major fundraising events. Save the date for their inaugural gala, Fire & Ice, on March 25, 2023. Sponsorships and tables are still available. All donations will go toward building the Bob Smittcamp Family Neuroscience Institute.
We are so proud of our newest fundraising group and the women leading it to success!
