I’ve lived in the Valley my whole life and have worked at Community for 40 years now. I started working here as a young Fresno State nursing student and I never left. It’s always been home — the place that gave me a chance to care for my Valley neighbors and completely supported me as I continued to grow in my career. With help from Community’s scholarships and tuition assistance, I earned my master’s degree and continued to grow into new positions.
Today, I help other nurses grow and succeed in their very challenging careers. None of us is perfect, but we share a love of the patients we serve.
As a young nurse, being surrounded and supported by an amazing team made all the difference for me. Community invested in me, cared for me, and allowed me to grow, learn and make a career out of doing what I love. Now I work to support the next generation, including two of my own children who work at Community.
Working here is so much more than a job to me. It’s my calling, and there is nowhere else I’d rather be.
